Over 10 years ago when I still lived in California I had the privilege of becoming acquainted with a company called New Avenue Homes. I with a couple of tiny house friends were invited to speak at a Sunset Magazine event. At this event I met the owner of  New Avenues Homes and toured one of their homes.

In a recent email they shared with me a unique 500 square foot prefab ADU that they currently have for sale.

This is a special ADU because Sunset Magazine was involved in decorating it and now you can own it if you choose. This ADU includes a kitchen and living area, a bathroom, a laundry room, a flexible space that could be used for anything, and a loft.

This ADU is designed for high-end living. It includes smart design and premium materials. It is built with health and sustainability and can be located anywhere in California.

Here is a list of included materials.

  • Miele appliances
  • marble counters
  • spectacular ipe deck for relaxing and entertaining
  • metal roof
  • wood floors
  • Fireclay Tile shower
  • Fireclay Tile kitchen backsplash
  • Panasonic energy recovery ventilator
  • Sanyo heat pump
  • Ronbow vanity
  • Hardie Artisan Siding
  • EeStairs circular staircase

This ADU could easily become your special office, a guest suite, or a rental unit. You may even consider living in it yourself and rent out the main house.

New Avenue Homes is asking $90,000 for this unit. There is only one so you need to jump on it if you are interested. This was listed on May 1, 2024. It may no longer be available if you are reading this later.
